Hi I’m Mélissa Irace and for more than 25 years I’ve been helping businesses with their marketing, communications and public relations.
I’m based in Auckland, New Zealand and work with people who make a difference to communities, the environment and wellbeing.
In the past I’ve worked for large corporate organisations in a wide range of industries. In the UK this included being the Marketing Manager for the UK’s second largest engineering consultancy and a Marketing Exec for Europe’s largest IT reseller.
In New Zealand I’ve held marketing and communications roles in a number of local government organisations including Destination Northland, Auckland Council and Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Developement (ATEED) so I have specialist experience in tourism and events. I’ve worked in conservation for four years and also run my own consultancy for seven years. For many of those years I mentored small businesses – it’s something I particularly love doing.
You can see an overview of my career on my LinkedIn profile or on the links below.
My ancestry is Singaporean, French, Swiss and Italian and I like to think I bring all the positive attributes of these cultures into my working life. I am reliable and do what I say I’m going to do in a timely manner. I bring passion and creativity to my work and warmth to my workplace.
The first 8 years of my career were in London where I grew up, but since 2002 I have lived and worked in New Zealand. I work with clients from throughout New Zealand and in the Pacific Islands.
I hold an Honours Degree in history from King’s College, University of London where I specialised in Roman and medieval history – so I’ve always had an interest in storytelling. This love of the written word continues now in my work and when I’m with my two beautiful daughters.
